What Bliss remembers, and how to make her forget
Bliss keeps a small memory of what matters to you so each talk starts where the last one ended. What she keeps, where you can see it, and how to correct or wipe it.
Bliss remembers you so that you do not have to start from zero every time. If you told her last week that your sister is unwell, or that mornings are your hardest hour, she carries that into the next conversation. It is the difference between a companion and a search box, and it is also the part of CalmSpace.ai people ask about most. So here is exactly how it works.
What she keeps
Bliss keeps short notes about what matters to you: the people you mention, what you are working through, what tends to help, and how you like her to talk to you (she has three styles: listens first; warm with a little humour; fewer reflections, practical sooner). She does not keep a transcript of everything you said as "memory"; she keeps the few things worth remembering, in plain sentences you can read.
Where you can see it
Open What Bliss remembers in the app (it is in the side menu on the web and under Settings on iPhone). Every note is listed as she holds it. From there you can:
- Pin a note so it always stays in view for her.
- Correct a note that is wrong or out of date.
- Mute a note so she stops bringing it up without deleting it.
- Delete a single note.
- Forget everything, which wipes the whole memory at once.
Nothing is hidden from you, and there is no "we also keep" behind the list.
How to make her forget
The quick way is Forget everything on the same screen. It is immediate and there is no undo, which is the point. If you only want one thing gone, delete that note. If you want Bliss to stop remembering at all going forward, memory can be switched off in the web app's settings; she will still be herself in each conversation, just without the thread between them.
Deleting your account deletes everything, memory included.
A weekly letter, and your month
Because Bliss remembers, she can also write to you. Every week she sends a short letter about your week, and once a month a look back at the month: what came up, what helped, what you might want to carry forward. If you would rather not receive them, they switch off in Settings.
What memory is not
Memory is not shared with anyone, is not sold, and is not used to train other companies' AI models. It lives in your account in the United States (AWS, us-east-1), encrypted in transit and at rest. Our full privacy policy and our promise say the rest in plain words, and the memory page answers the common questions one by one.
If you have a question we have not answered, write to info@calmspace.ai and a person will reply.
CalmSpace.ai is a wellness app, not a medical service, and Bliss is not a therapist. If you are in crisis, contact the crisis line for your country; in the United States, call or text 988.
