Why schools need CalmSpace EDU

Schools already have counselors. CalmSpace gives them a daily wellbeing signal, a voice companion for students, and a dashboard to act earlier.

The gap every school has is the same: counselors only see the students who walk in. Most students who are struggling don't. CalmSpace EDU closes that gap by giving every student a private, daily, safe place to check in — and giving counselors a dashboard that surfaces the right student at the right time.

🌱

Daily wellbeing signal

Mood check-ins, gratitude reflection, and engagement metrics give counselors a view of student wellbeing every day — not just during awareness weeks.

🎙️

Bliss Voice for students

Students speak naturally to a calm, age-safe voice companion. Bliss guides breathing, exam-stress reframes, and a graceful path to "I need help."

📊

Counselor dashboard

Today's alerts, student help requests, grade-level trends, and monthly wellbeing reports — everything counselors need to act earlier.

🛡️

Counselor-supervised

Bliss is not a therapist and never replaces your counselors. It helps schools scale, measure, and personalise the wellbeing work they already do.

Bliss Voice for students

Most school wellbeing apps are forms, articles, or mood trackers. CalmSpace EDU is voice-first.

Student: "I feel stressed about exams."

Bliss: "That sounds heavy. Let's slow down for a moment. We can try a 60-second breathing exercise, write down what's worrying you, or request support from your counselor."

  • Daily check-ins — happy, stressed, tired, anxious, sad, angry, okay
  • Exam stress support — short flows for test anxiety, overwhelm, time pressure, and fear of failure
  • Breathing & grounding exercises — 60-second and 3-minute formats designed for between-class breaks
  • Private gratitude reflection — a digital, private version of the gratitude practices schools already love
  • "I need help" button — student-initiated, one-tap counselor support request
  • Safety escalation — automated alerts to the counselor on serious distress signals

Counselor dashboard

Lives on the secure school admin app under a new counselor role. Each counselor sees only their assigned caseload; aggregate views respect a privacy floor (N ≥ 5) to prevent re-identification.

  • Today — new help requests, high-stress check-ins, safety alerts to acknowledge, students needing follow-up
  • Students — mood trend, check-in history, engagement, risk level, counselor case notes
  • Cohorts — grade-level stress trends, exam-anxiety patterns, campus wellbeing score, common student themes
  • Reports — monthly PDF export with engagement, themes, response activity, and recommended interventions
  • Settings — alert routing, severity thresholds, school-hours and after-hours fallback, parent consent settings

Safety & privacy — designed for schools, not surveillance

This is the most serious part of the product. CalmSpace EDU is engineered so that the things that go wrong with consumer AI cannot happen here.

  • Not an AI therapist. Not a diagnostic tool. Does not replace school counselors.
  • No raw audio stored by default. Voice is transcribed, safety-checked, and the original audio is deleted.
  • No voice biometrics, no fingerprinting, no model training using student data.
  • No ads. No social features. No student-to-student messaging.
  • Consent-based. Parents review what CalmSpace can and cannot do, give consent, and can opt out with one click.
  • Two-layer safety classifier. An independent safety model runs alongside Bliss. Hard refusals on substances, weapons, self-harm methods, and academic cheating.
  • Counselors stay in control. Alerts surface the right student at the right time; counselors decide what to do next.
  • Audit log. Every safety event, counselor view of a student record, and data export is immutably logged.

The privacy answer we give parents, principals, and regulators is the same:

"Bliss Voice is designed for safe expression, not surveillance. Audio is processed securely, not used for model training, and not stored by default."

Human escalation disclaimer. CalmSpace does not provide emergency services. The school remains responsible for emergency response, parent notification, and local safeguarding procedures. CalmSpace's role is to surface early-support signals so counselors can act.

Frequently asked questions

Is CalmSpace EDU an AI therapist?

No. CalmSpace EDU is a counselor-supervised wellbeing companion. Bliss does not diagnose, does not treat, and does not replace your school counselors. Its role is to help students reflect, calm down, and request human support earlier.

Can teachers or principals read what a student wrote to Bliss?

No, not by default. Counselors only receive alerts when a student requests help or a safety concern appears. Parent visibility of counselor case files is configurable per school and defaults to off. Aggregate views in the dashboard respect a minimum group size (N ≥ 5) to prevent re-identification.

Where is voice audio stored?

It is not. Voice is transcribed, safety-checked, and the raw audio is deleted. We do not use student voice for biometrics, fingerprinting, or model training. The school receives summaries and severity tags, not recordings.

What ages does the pilot support?

Grades 9–12 / O-Level / A-Level only in v1.0. Younger grade bands (KG–8) are deliberately out of v1 due to additional parental-consent and safety complexity, and arrive in a later release.

How is parent consent handled?

Each parent receives a consent page explaining what Bliss can and cannot do, with a one-click opt-out. Schools choose between a "school-master" consent (one signed by the institution on behalf of enrolled students per local law) or per-parent consent. Both modes are supported.

What happens in a crisis?

A separate, independent safety classifier runs alongside Bliss. Severity is tagged Normal, Watch, Concern, Urgent, or Critical. Urgent and Critical events trigger immediate SMS + email to the school's designated counselors, with a re-dispatch loop until acknowledged. CalmSpace does not provide emergency services — the school remains responsible for emergency response, parent notification, and local safeguarding procedures. Our role is to surface the signal earlier.

How is this priced?

PKR 200 per active student per month for the EDU Plus plan (the default sell), billed annually to the institution. Basic (PKR 100) and Premium (PKR 300) tiers are available. Networks above 5,000 students can convert to a fixed annual campus or network licence.

How long does the pilot take to launch?

Most pilots launch within four weeks of contract: roster import, counselor onboarding, parent consent campaign, and a school-branded subdomain. The pilot runs for 90 days with a weekly check-in and a final impact report on day 90.

Do you have a native iOS or Android app?

CalmSpace already ships a consumer iOS app, and the school version reuses the same codebase via tenant detection — there is no fork to maintain. v1.0 of CalmSpace EDU is Web/PWA so pilots can launch fast; the native student engagement layer arrives in v1.2.

What data residency options do you support?

Closest regional AWS storage option is selected per region (Mumbai for South Asia, Frankfurt for EU, Northern Virginia for North America), pending Pakistan-local cloud availability, with contractual cross-border consent where required. Each school org gets its own KMS encryption key for sensitive at-rest data.

Can the platform be branded for our school?

Yes — light co-branding (your logo and accent colour) is included on the school subdomain in v1.0. Deeper white-label including a separately branded native app is offered to networks committing at the Premium tier.
