What this video is about
Your eyes find the clock, your mind finds tomorrow, and somewhere in there it starts counting the hours left. You do not need to do anything about that. Bliss moves your attention slowly through the body, feet to forehead, one part at a time, with long quiet pauses and soft rain underneath; if you drift off halfway, that is the point.
If a thought about tomorrow arrives, it is a cloud going past; you do not have to climb on. Nothing is being decided tonight. The last minute is rain only. Play it in bed, eyes closed, screen off.
More on the sleep page, including what to do when you wake at 3 AM, and in the 3 AM post. In CalmSpace.ai, the body scan for sleep is one of the guided meditations in Bliss's voice.
What happens in the video
- The middle of the night, named.
- Two slow breaths, like a sigh.
- Feet, legs, hips, belly, chest, hands, shoulders, jaw, eyes: heavier, one at a time.
- A thought about tomorrow is a cloud going past.
- Bliss stops talking; rain, and the weight of your body.
