What this video is about
You should have known better. You are behind. Everyone else has it figured out. That voice thinks it is helping; mostly it makes everything heavier. This short meditation uses the friend test: think of one thing you have been hard on yourself about, imagine a friend bringing you exactly that, and notice what you would say to them.
Then you say it to yourself, silently, in your own words, and notice how different it feels in the shoulders, jaw and chest. A kinder voice is not going easy on yourself; it is the voice that gets you back up and trying again, and it can be practised.
The self-compassion page has the three-minute exercise in writing. CalmSpace.ai also has a 7-day program, a kinder inner voice, in Bliss's voice.
